In the past 2 months I have the car about 95% completed. I have it registered and now I can legally drive it on the streets. Alberta transportation wanted pictures of my side marker lights that I installed. I had my inspection on a Friday and my first car show on Saturday, it was great to drive the car on the road. The car is great to drive, I love it.
May 18, 2014
First updated in over 2 month, car has been painted and just getting all pieces back together.
March 23, 2014
Well car is still at the painters, they are saying that it should be done next week. I have been work very little on the car but this weekend was dedicated to the car. My wife and kids were out of town made some good progress. I have been trying to fab up some rings to go around the mufflers. I had ordered some stuff from Shane at VRaptor speed works I should have had him cut them out for me. It took about 7 hours to make these ones.
Jan 13, 2014
Made a simple body buck for the painters. It will be at the painters for about 6 weeks to complete all body mods. Over this time I will get most of the wiring complete.
Oct 01 - Dec 25, 2013
I have found a company to take on the task of body work and painting the car, so Jan 14, 2014 is the date. I will be just taking him the body, this way I can complete the wiring of all lights and cleaning up the rest of the wiring. The door handles, I really did not like the way the linkage was to work so I made some new pieces to get them to work with out any problems. With the set up now I will be able to put locks in. To get the car registered I have to put side maker lights in, so I went with the Aston Martin Vantage lights. They are small enough that they don't look out of place on the car.
Sept 7 - 30, 2013
This month has gone by so fast. I have taken two sets of holiday to work on the car. So I am going to finally update my web site. Interior and dash pod installed, head light covers and Diffuser mounted.
Sept 06, 2013
Over the last week I have been getting the roll bar cover complete. Last year when I had the passenger side mirror on I put it in the wrong spot, so I had to fill in those holes.
Aug 20-25, 2013
High beams and low beams have been installed along with front signals. I had the halo cover (roll bar cover) for a while and installed today.
July 29-Aug19, 2013
Put the body back on the car for some final fitting. Cut outs for the exhaust, Ron's roll bar covers fiber glassed back together, hood latches and I received the back wing from Thomas142 of the FFcars form.
July 23,2013
After some RR with the kids and a little bit of a delay with some parts I had a few days in the garage. First with some of the heat issues in the tunnel I went down and purchased a welding blanket. Its manufactured by Steiner - Velvet Shield good to 1800 F. I also took the car for a few test drives, I have used all the gears and it's starting to shift smoother.
June 18-20, 2013
Passenger seat installed, had to make more brackets and local parts store had in stock adjustable seat tracks. I have been working on the wiring of the AC Trinary switch and making up another fuse block for when the ignition is turned on. This wiring is not my strong suit so its taking me a lot longer than expected. With sorting out the wiring and doing lots of research on-line I think I have all of this under control now. I SURE HOPE, might bring the body of the car down next week. I also added a new YouTube video on the install of the seat brackets.
June 6-10, 2013
Driver seat was installed with the help from Vidal. I could not find David's instructions and Vidal had the link to his build site. With his detailed instructions I was able to get the seats installed. I had to build my own brackets and then I covers them with EZ liner. It gave them a nice rubber texture.
May 29-31
After getting the power cells and master cell back in the car it was time to get the ignition wired. The first start kind of shocked me as I was not expecting it to start.
May 23, 2013
I would like to thank Jay and Mike at ISIS for getting my master cell and power cells reprogramed and sent back to me in 3 days. These guys are great to work with, not very often you speak to the president of a company.
Thank you again for the great service.
I installed all the cells again and went for the start. I have a running car, one small leak on the heater hose return. I posted some videos in YouTube 2, Part 31, 33.

Ian from Mendeola phoned today to let me know that the transaxle is ready to ship. There was a problem with the interior parts, so Factory Five replace them. Today I received the new interior parts and sent one back.
Nov 12, 2012
Well after looking at my first attempt on the ISIS display bezel I had to make another one. So on the second attempt I was able to make it in two pieces. I will not be fiber glassing the base because of what the upholster recommended. Also talked to Ian at Mendeola and it looks like the transaxle should be complete this week.
Nov 06, 2012

May 14, 2012
I have been working on the GTM over the last month but just have not been updating. I received the fuel pump and by pass regulator just not sure if I will use them. I bought the Aeromotive pump and all equipment just not sure on the placement. With the stock internal pump it would be easy to fit all lines in place. Today I received all my Spectre parts for the intake. Also more on the ISIS system, installing the InMotion. The Vintage Air ECU had to be moved over to allow for the ISIS to plug into it. Just used one of the bolts that holds the heater in. This will allow for easier plug and play with the ECU.
April 23, 2012
I received the last few pieces for the ISIS system today Inmotion, inviroment, and Indash light.
April 17, 2012
I uploaded another video on the wiper motor bracketand motor install. I also put on in of my Dads 2 cylinder steam engine on his paddel wheeler. It was made out of a pontoon boat. On the car I cleaned up some of panel rivets that I missed. The top cover also cleaned up the cut out. Went down to the local upholstery shop and picked up what they call tractor seat edge. This will protect the duct work when going through the panel. This stuff is great just pushes on makes for a nice finish ( that you will not see).
April 16, 2012
Cut the cover over the heater for the duct work.
April 15, 2012
Wiper motor with bracket install just to get a fit for now.
April 10,13 2012

Aug 20, 2011

Aug 19, 2011
I will finish the drivers side cockpit/tunnel aluminum today. There was alot of drilling done today the hand sure gets beat up. When the time comes to install these it sould go quickly.
Aug 18, 2011
Today I made the brackets for the rear brake fitting to fit into. I had a piece of aluminum cut to fit with the right holes. I thought that they should be black to match the powder coating. I had some paint left over from the calipers it is a gloss but they are small enough that it should not matter. Also started drilling passenger interior aluminum panels but will install at a later date. The best thing that happened today was the Interior arrived and that just made my day. The beer will tast good sitting in my new seats. I have six days off should be able that get alot done.
From May 24 to July 26
I have had the car for just over two months. There has been alot done on the car just to many to put in order. So the first steps were to get the body in the shop and remove it for storage. The next few steps were to drill all the alunimum panels that went around the control arms. I sent out 18 panels for powder coating I went with a flat black. This will give it a more OEM look under the hood and in the wheel wells. The powder coaters were 2 weeks behind so my parts had to wait. I will end up using the calipers that I received with my donor parts they are in good shape. I painted them with a black caliper paint from the local auto place. I have ordered new rotors and new ceramic pads from corvette depot. I also had to put in a new rad, the fans both work and the condensor was also in good shape.
