Jan 2014 - Body buck for painters
Oct 01- Dec 25, 2013
These are the Aston Martin Vantage lights, they are a lot smaller than the Corvette C5. The body has a small curve in the area that I am installing these and the lights have a curve to them as well, so they will work out perfect. I made a template first so I could trace it onto the car. This will be used later to secure it to the cars body. The intake in front of the wheels, I did not like the shape so out came the file and more sanding to get the new shape, more like a drop instead of the sharp corner on the inside corner. I like the look of the intake now with that curve.
New setup for the door latch. I will be able to make the latch lock now with this block.
July 29-Aug19,2013
First I cut out the holes for the rear exhaust. With the Kooks headers and the tips being angled they don't stick out side the car very far. I will try to and readjust at a later date. I traded my Dad lathes they say bigger is batter.
Ron's Roll bar cover
When I ordered the roll bar cover from Ron I asked him to cut it into 4 pieces to cut down on shipping. So I started fiber glassing them back together. I think it turned out ok as it will be covered at a later date.
Thomas142's rear wing
I really liked Vidal's install of the rear wing so I ordered the same one from Tom. It sure finishes of the rear of the car and completes that area. I am thinking that I might add some supports from that area to the rear frame. The front hood latches were also drilled and bolted on. I am really not liking the fitment of the hood to the front of the body. Factory Five has trimmed the edge of the hood just a little to much so I will have to add some fiber glass in that area.
