After looking at the passenger side mirror when the car was of the jack stands it just did not look good. After filling the holes I put the door back on and installed at the right angle.

With the fuel filler caps I had on seperate. So after looking into how these are to be fastened down i had to cut out some steel rings. The bolts come down from the top through the fiberglass then through this ring. Once tightened it pulls everything together. You also can watch the video.

Mirror install, this has been on of the toughest parts of the build. Even though they are one of the smallest components "WHAT A TASK".Getting the mirrors the same on each side posed quit a challenge. I thing I have them or I hope that they are in the right spot. You will see that I have 2 different color mirrors as this was part of the donor pallet, so they were used.If you are attempting to install the mirrors just drill the forwad bolt first then mark the others. This way you can adjust the mirror and you wont be drilling exta holes.

I debated on installing the rear latch - just was not sure. Then I decided to watch the video Gene had made again. This time I knew what had to be done and started at it. I cut out the template that is in the manual. I first measured the thickness of the hatch plus the height of the latch pin. With this info I was able to mark all lines then put the template on and drill the holes for the latch. After installing I noticed that the pin was not at the right angle as it was coming into the latch. I also put a spacer between the latch and the body to give it a little more room as the pin is further back and won't hit the edge.(just in case if someone other than I shuts it) I had to bend the angle piece that the pin is attached too just past a 90* angle. Now there is no hang ups when closing.
